Merkel's aftermath:American Policies push more in EU?

Angela Merkel is to become Germany's first woman chancellor under a deal agreed between her Christian Democrats (CDU) and the Social Democrats (SPD).
I think the relation between Germany and US will get deeper. Especially as Schroder the former chancellor sometimes tried to have an independent role in some areas such as Middle East conflicts. Social Democrate She also believes that the EU must be harder about Iranian Government and it is not far that the Germany, UK and US play a coherent role about the Iranian Nuclear issues in the coming months.

One of the important points which have been emphasized in most of the news coverage is that
Angela Mekel is the first chancellor woman in Germany.

The Struggle Over Rafsanjani’s Future Role
My last story,Published on Roozonline daily, Oct 10, 2005

While the purpose of last week’s announcement of the increase in the authority of Iran’s Expediency Council, a body that was initially mandated only to intervene and resolve differences between the Parliament and the elected Guardian’s Council comprised of conservative clerics, was to curtail the excesses of the new hardline government lead by Mahmud Ahmadinejad, it has also put Hashemi Rafsanjani, the current head of the Expediency Council who lost a presidential bid last June in addition to a loss in the elections to get into the Parliament six years ago, into the number 2 spot in Iran’s power hierarchy.( Countinue...)

ElBradei; 2005 Noble peace Prize
Mohamed ElBaradei won the 2005 noble peace prize. This is the second noble peace prize in three years which is Iran oriented. Shirin Ebadi the winner of the 2003 noble peace prize recieved this honour because of all her activities on human rights issues and ElBaradei for all he has done on nuclear disarmament in Iran, N.Korea and Libya. Human Rights and Nuclear isses are the two weak points of the Iranian government.

For God Sake!

This is Nikahang cartoon at Roozonline daily. President Bush to President Ahmadinejad: "For god sake We are in middle east."
"For god sake we want to devast US".
"For god sake, leave us " poeple say.

When God Speak to the president: Go George! Go!

“Go George, and end this fight against terrorists! …and I did…”said George Bush to a Palestinian delegation in 2003. The President’s official spokesman said the claims, to be broadcast in a TV documentary later this month, were “absurd.” But the news coverage of this funny claim is amusing. Look at the DECCAN HERALD, Guardian, BBC,GLOBEANDMAIL, IPS, Telegraph, Scotsman and of course Aljazeera with the readers’ comment, with a meaningful photo of the only president in the world who has a direct line to God.
